Today, after not riding Friday because of mechanical issues with my brake cable with which my friend Dan Cogan helped me, and not riding yesterday because I went for a good hike with my friends Tom Brown and Tom Clark, and allowed that to suffice for my daily exercise, I was eager to get back to it today. However, I allowed myself to settle for a single round trip to Marsh Park (in resplendent conditions; 67° sunshine).
As I neared the Park, I passed a runner, who called out cheerfully, "Enjoy your ride!" And when I paused briefly at the park, I saw that I had a text message from Michelle, who told me, "Enjoy your ride!" So, even though I was feeling mildly disappointed or even embarrassed by the short ride, I took the hint and adjusted my attitude, feeling more gratitude on the way home. 😊
