 2022 mileage: 365.5

This morning, I did a virtual ride on western Norway's famous "serpentine" road, the Trollstigen ("Troll's Ladder"). We enjoyed it during an excursion on a family trip we took to London and Norway in July 2019. Five of us went—Michelle and I, my brother and sister-in-law John and Darlene, and my sister Marianne. The excursion, "Norway in a Nutshell," was on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

Today's virtual ride had me climbing the road, whereas on our excursion, we were coming the other way, descending. On that occasion, I'm glad we were in a bus rather than on cycles! I took this picture as we began our descent.


The video was short enough (a bit under 50 minutes) that i did it twice, for a total ride of 22.7 miles in 1:42.
